Jingwei Zhang
I am a 5th-year Ph.D. student in operations management at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where I'm fortunate to be advised by Prof. Auyon Siddiq and Prof. Christopher S. Tang. Before UCLA, I earned my Master's degree in Marketing Science from Columbia University in 2018 and my Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (major) and Computer Science (minor) from Tsinghua University in 2017.
My research interests are in sustainability, with an emphasis on practical public sector problems in smart city operations and urban mobility. My current research combines tools from game theory, structural estimation, and optimization to convert data into policy prescriptions. In particular, my work has focused on (1) modeling the strategic behavior of relevant stakeholders; and (2) developing new optimization-based methods to estimate structural model parameters from innovative data sources.
In the summer of 2022, I worked as a data scientist intern at Lime.
I am on the 2022-2023 academic job market.
